The Well Psych Team

Laura Caruso, LMHC

Founder, Psychotherapist, & Clinical Supervisor

Laura is a relationship expert and dating coach based in New York City. She practices from a relational lens and prides herself as a down-to-earth and “no bullshit” therapist. Laura will help you break free from self-limiting patterns and lead you towards fulfilling relationships with deep connections. In her free time, you can find Laura playing with her Golden Retriever, or en route to JFK for her next big adventure. She is currently writing a non-fiction book at the intersection of all that makes her feel whole: human connection, empathy, culture, and socio-politics.

Jason Alicea, LMHC

CEO, Psychotherapist, & Clinical Supervisor

Jason, a relational therapist based in bustling New York City, has dedicated his life to repairing the fabric of human connection. Witnessing the toll of sacrificing personal happiness for success, Jason is passionate about helping individuals understand their relationship with themselves, establish healthy boundaries, and live authentically in both personal and professional realms. Outside of therapy, Jason is on a mission to train his Golden Retriever puppy into a service animal and therapy dog. He has a genuine love for people and a thirst for new experiences, and takes comfort in hobbies like Petanque, pottery, and archery.

Carolyn Cutillo, MHC-LP

Psychotherapist

Carolyn is a happiness buff. She believes therapy can help individuals gain the tools they seek to feel that they are truly thriving in their lives as their authentic selves. Coming from a career in performance, Carolyn is particularly passionate about spreading well-being topics through creative forms, such as through her YouTube series, How Happiness Happens with Carolyn Cutillo, or the holiday rom-com she’s writing with her husband. When not deeply connecting with people, she is deeply connecting with every cat she sees (including her own, Mimi).

Advika Anand, MHC-I

Clinical Resident

As your therapist, Advika’s goal is to work together to explore your relationship with yourself and the world around you. Her background in vocal performance, piano, and public speaking has sparked a passion for self-expression that carries into her work. As a South Asian woman who has lived in both the US and India, Advika deeply values the harmony of all aspects of one’s identity and strives to foster a welcoming and inclusive space for all. When she isn’t at graduate school, you may find her performing with her dance team, contorted on a yoga mat, or on her lifelong quest to find the best hot chocolate in the city.

Hayley Schlattman, MHC-I

Clinical Resident

Hayley finds passion in making connections and helping people feel seen and heard. Witnessing the intensities life had to offer, Hayley gained a genuine love for supporting others. Listening to the stories and dreams of those around her drives her to be a good friend and confidant. When she’s not supporting her people, she’s usually spending time with her cat, Dutch, or off playing video games with her friends across the world.

With his boundless enthusiasm and unwavering dedication, Jake is poised to make a paw-sitive impact on the lives of those he encounters.
